TWO
Bob's second solo album on CTI proved Bob was here to stay as a major player in the world of jazz recordings. ('One' & 'Two' were actually released in the same year, 1974) and made a huge impact with strong sales and radio play.
"I was so glad to have the chance to record Paul Simon's 'Take Me to The Mardi Gras'" recalls Bob. "I had arranged for him on a couple of CBS projects and I just loved this composition of his." It is one of the most sampled recordings in Bob's catalog. Also on 'Two' is the first vocal arrangement Bob recorded on his own projects. It is Patti Austin you hear on 'I Feel A Song' - only the first of what would be many appearances by Patti on Bob's recordings.
